- Adults have jobs.
I kind of already have a part time gig as an Au pair, but it pays using the barter system ( I watch the kids, I get to live in their house and eat their food) but it won't pay my phone bill, so I'm not sure if it counts. All the stay at home parents probably feel that a non paying job is still a job, but I'm also guessing that these people have someone else who is willing to buy them stuff. Great for them, but this is a less viable plan when you are single.
Speaking of people buying other people stuff, my awesome little brother bought me a Venture Industries t-shirt from the comic convention in Seattle. The Venture Bros is possibly one of my favourite TV shows of all time. Sadness, I asked him to get me an XL, and it's in youth sizes! At least I hope it's a youth size, or else the tag at the back of my pants has been lying to me. Okay, I admit wearing jr sized cartoon themed t-shirts may undo the growing up I did job searching. Alright, so I'm breaking even right now. But! I also got my graduation photos done today. It took me fifteen minutes of scrubbing to get all the make up off. That's kind of grown up, right? Though, I haven't actually graduated yet, but wearing 1/4 metric tonne of make up is what female type adults do on a regular basis, right? I kind of hope it is because I looked awesome.
Check out my brother's blog at:
He does drawing type things.
Alright, time to move on to another grown up ambition: going to bed at a reasonable hour. Classes are over, Exams are a-coming and I am ready to sleep in until noon (I'll work on the getting-out-of-bed-at-a-reasonable-hour part later).
All the Best,
-Jo
